Flowers Are the Way To Her Heart This Valentine’s Day

With the big day fast approaching, flower shops all over the city are going into high gear. Sally Danciu of Sally’s Flowers — the best of the best — in Fox Chase, took a minute out of her busy schedule to give our readers some advice. For Valentine’s Day, Danciu recommends sticking with the basics.
“Roses are always a good idea. Tulips are lovely and so are spring flowers,” says Danciu. “Back in Victorian times, every flower had a story. Of course, red roses meant love, but red and white roses together meant love and unity. Yellow roses were for joy and orange were for passion.”
Sally’s Flowers: Sally’s Flowers has been serving Fox Chase and the greater Philadelphia are for over 33 years. They specialize in quality, personalized bouquets and will work closely with each customer to make sure they get what they want. Started back in 1977, Sally’s Flowers is an active part of the community. The shop works with the Fox Chase farm, a working educational farm in northeast Philadelphia. During the summer, the shop is also a drop-off site for Memorial Fox Chase Presbyterian Church’s Food for Hope, a community food pantry. Place your order soon for Valentine’s Day, and you are sure to get a unique bouquet to put a smile on your lady’s face. You might even get a kiss.
