How to Order Prom Flowers
Typically we like to have at least 3 days notice for prom orders so we have time to order the flowers in the neccessary colors.
Popular flowers are full size & miniature roses, orchids, gerbera daisies, hydranga, Peruvian lilys, heathers, asters etc.
The most important questions we ask are...
- what color is the girl's dress
- does she prefer a wristlet or a handtied bouquet.
It's helpful to know the color of his tie & what type of jewelry will she be wearing, silver or yellow gold.
Boutonnieres are not included with the wristlet or bouquet & it is very common for the ladies to purchase the boutonniere for the boy.
I have a 18 year old son of my own & I totally sympathize with all you Moms out there that get the notice the day before (or worse yet the day of the prom) that the "little darling" needs flowers for his date.
Please do not be upset or embarrassed, we can almost always whip something up. If he doesn't know the color of the dress, we can always make someting up in white or off white. You can't go wrong with that!
